  • First Press Conference to unveil achievement gap plan, 2004 Fall Conference
  • Parent Commission Chair added to Executive Board
  • Linkages with other organizations expanded
  • Conference Planning Committee Chair added to Executive Board
  • Publication of first MMABSE document, “Closing the Gap”
  • Annual Encouragement Award Program recognizing improvement and achievement
  • Over $7000 awarded in scholarships to high school seniors at Encouragement Award Program
  • Annual Parent Recognition program
  • TEACHER RECOGNITION GALA
  • Bylaws updated and approved at 2004 Fall Conference
  • Membership expansion to include classified personnel
  • Financial stability of organization reestablished
  • MMABSE representative on Milwaukee Partnership Academy Committee
  • Creation of membership e-mail directory for Executive Board only
  • Presentations at conferences, schools and MPS principals’ meetings
  • $22,000 NEA Grant to close the achievement gap

  • Co-Sponsorship of first national conference on achievement gap with the Milwaukee Partnership Academy
  • $500 Life Membership extended to all members, not just retirees only
  • Creation of Institutional Membership
  • First Institutional Membership received
  • Development of Blueprint for Action
  • Accepted by Combined Giving Campaign to be on 2006-2007list of organizations eligible to receive donations through the United Way Drive
