Our Mission

The mission of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Alliance of Black School Educators (MMABSE) is to enhance and facilitate the education of all students with a focus on those of African descent.

Our Vision

Rogers E. Onick

President

Metropolitan Milwaukee Alliance of Black School Educators, Inc.

For all children especially those of African-American descent, MMABSE must:

  • Strengthen and sustain its existence
  • Build collaborative relationships
  • Extend its membership base
  • Fulfill its mission, purpose and functions
  • Take political stands
  • Speak with one voice
  • Hold policy makers accountable
  • Fight for what is right

As future generations of MMABSE members and supporters look back on our organization, what do we want them to say about us? That we failed to recognize the unique position and opportunity of our time as a black organization? That we failed to lead when strong, fearless leadership was required? That our differences paralyzed our ability to act in solidarity? That our MPS employment created a conflict of interest and will? That our resolve was not as great as our words?

MMABSE stands poised today. MMABSE stands prepared to make a difference. MMABSE stands ready to insure that the American dream becomes real for our children. MMABSE stands committed to act. Do you believe that with strength and determination, we can improve the quality of education for all children especially those of African-American descent? Do you believe that with our combined, focused efforts we can turn the tide of academic failure for African-American children? Do you believe in what you can offer MMABSE? It’s a new day, and the sun shines brightly on MMABSE! It’s a new day, and the time is now to act  -- fearlessly, strongly, deliberately, purposefully, and straight forwardly.
